The Fujitsu Siemens Computers PRIMERGY TX150 S6 is the first server to smash the 1000 “ssj_ops/watt” power-rating ceiling. Benchmarking tests delivered the SPECpower_ssj2008 result of 1018 operations per Watt, while no other server has so far managed a score higher than 910 operations per Watt.

The PRIMERGY TX150 S6 is a one-way server featuring a quad-core Intel Xeon X3360 processor, using 4x 2GB DIMM memory modules, a 500GB SATA hard drive running at 7200rpm, and running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise X64 Edition.

SPECpower_ssj2008 is the first industry-standard benchmark to evaluate the power and performance characteristics of volume server class computers. Tests were carried out to SPEC standards in Fujitsu Siemens Computers’ PRIMERGY Performance Laboratory in Paderborn, Germany, on 26 March 2008.
