Resellers line up for chance to win car with Comztek, Fujitsu Siemens Computers
[ Johannesburg, 7 January 2008 ] - Santa came a little early this year for the resellers at the prize giveaway ceremony of the Comztek/Fujitsu Siemens Computers competition.
Instead of a sled and reindeer, he came in an Opel Corsa Utility 1.7 TDI, which was to be a present for one lucky reseller at the event.
The competition attracted an overwhelming number of entries from Comztek resellers, and the elegant Sunset Boma, in Midrand, provided the perfect backdrop for the grand finale.
Representing Comztek were Paul Conradie, managing director of Comztek; Kobus Kitshoff, channel manager: Fujitsu Siemens Computers; and Heinz Stephan, director for consumer electronics. From Fujitsu Siemens Computers were Idris Suleman, managing director; and Ross Olver, distribution account manager, who also had the honour of doing the lucky draw wearing a Victorian style mask to ensure there was no foul play.
Twenty names were drawn, with some resellers being represented more than once because of the large number of entries they had submitted. For every name drawn, a car key was given to the company representative present on the day, but only one key would open the doors to Santa's new chariot, the workhorse Opel Corsa Utility.
After more than 10 unsuccessful attempts at opening the car, up
stepped Nicolene Roodt from Sifikile. With her final key she
unlocked the doors and drove off with the splendid prize for Sifikile.
After all the formalities and camera flashes were over, everyone enjoyed the splendour of the
Sunset Boma and the perfect summer weather that had graced Johannesburg on the day.
